André Braugher Narrator André Braugher won the Emmy® in 1998 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Detective Frank Pembleton in Homicide: Life on The Street. This role also earned him a Television Critics Association Award and the Q Award, which is bestowed by the Viewers for Quality Television. He reprised his role in the recent TV special Homicide: The Movie. His feature credits include Get on the Bus, City of Angels, Thick As Thieves and All the Rage. He starred in the TNT Original film Passing Glory, as a priest in segregated 1960's New Orleans who organizes a high school basketball game between the city's top all-black and all-white teams in an effort to challenge racial conventions, and also starred in the telefilm The Court-Martial of Jackie Robinson. Kip KonwiserProducer/Director Kip Konwiser is president of Mandalay Sports and Urban Entertainment. Emmy Award®-winning 1997 Producer of the Year (PGA), Konwiser produced the most-honored film in television history, Miss Ever's Boys, for HBO. He served as development and production executive on such films as Working Girl, Zebrahead, Sweet Bird of Youth and Ferngully: The Last Rainforest. He has also produced several multimedia projects for artists including Herbie Hancock, Oliver Stone, Bob Marley, Willie Nelson, Peter Gabriel and the Grateful Dead. Konwiser received his bachelor's degree from Syracuse University and his master's degree from the USC School of Cinema-Television. Kern KonwiserProducer/Director Kern Konwiser is executive vice president of Mandalay Sports and Urban Entertainment. Emmy Award-winning 1997 Producer of year (PGA), Konwiser co-produced the most-honored film in television history, Miss Ever's Boys, for HBO (Five Emmys, three NAACP Image Awards and a Golden Globe Award, among others). He has also written, produced and directed several interactive CD-ROMs, including Herbie Hancock Presents Living Jazz and Bob Marley: Soul Almighty. In addition, he has written for film and television, including The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest, and has produced and performed in numerous live events and concerts. Konwiser received his bachelor of arts degree from Cornell University and his master's degree from the USC School for Cinema Television's Graduate Screenwriting Program. |
