Y0UNG MASTER
Chinese title: Shi di chu ma
Years from now Hong Kong film buffs will point to Young Master as
the film that launched Jackie Chan's career internationally. For it is
here that Chan began to develop his unique screen persona and fighting
style. It is also his directorial debut and is a perfect blend of what
he does best - wild, acrobatic slapstick and death-defying stuntwork. In
Young Master, we follow Jackie as he tries to prevent his best
friend from leading a life of crime and in the process finds himself on
the wrong side the of law. After clearing his name, Chan vows to bring
the real criminals to justice. With his brother at his side, Chan
leaves his master and the gym where they have trained. On their way to
seek justice, complications arise when Chan's brother is apprehended by
the law and Chan must clear his name as well.
