Emmy®-winning actress Mare Winningham is one of the industry's most
respected performers. She received critical acclaim and an Oscar® nomination
for her recent role as a folk singer in the feature Georgia, opposite
Jennifer Jason Leigh.
Winningham's extensive film credits include Wyatt Earp, St. Elmo's
Fire, The War, Hard Promises, Turner and Hooch, Miracle Mile, Shy People,
Nobody's Fool and One Trick Pony. Winningham received an Emmy®
for her performance on television in Amber Waves, and an Emmy® nomination
for her role in Love is Never Silent. She also starred in the critically
acclaimed telefilm Helen Keller -The Miracle Continues. Among Winningham's
other television credits are the The Thorn Birds; The Boys Next Door;
She Stood Alone; Who is Julia?; Pied Piper; Crossing to Freedom; God Bless

Between her film and television work, Winningham travels the music circuit,
performing as a singer and songwriter of contemporary folk music.
