Gary Busey received an Oscar® nomination for his gripping performance in The Buddy Holly Story. He has appeared in more than 50 films, including The Firm, Lethal Weapon, The Bear, Lethal Tender, Plato's Run, Rough Draft, Black Sheep, The Chain, Drop Zone, The Player, My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys and Predator II. He also starred in the 1978 surf film classic Big Wednesday, directed by John Milius.

On television, Busey starred in the series Fallen Angels, The Texas Wheelers, Wild Texas Wind, The Neon Empire, The Execution of Private Slovik and Chrome Soldiers. His early credits include the features A Star Is Born, The Last American Hero, Dirty Little Billy and The Magnificent Seven Ride!
