Tom Berenger's breakthrough performance in Lawrence Kasdan's The Big Chill led to starring roles in such films as Oliver Stone's Platoon, Major League and its sequel, Major League II. He played Lieutenant General James Longstreet in Turner Pictures' critically acclaimed miniseries Gettysburg.

Among Berenger's feature film credits are Sliver, with Sharon Stone; At Play in the Fields of the Lord, opposite John Lithgow; Born On the Fourth of July; The Substitute; Someone to Watch Over Me; Shoot to Kill; Shattered; Chasers; Sniper; Eddie and the Cruisers; and An Occasional Hell, which he also produced. His television credits include the miniseries If Tomorrow Comes and TNT's Avenging Angel, with Charlton Heston.

Berenger stars in the upcoming films One Man's Hero and Robert Altman's The Gingerbread Man, opposite Kenneth Branagh.
