ED HARRIS as Lassiter

An award-winning stage performer and film actor whose feature credits date from the late 1970's, Ed Harris' breakthrough came in 1983's The Right Stuff, in which he stole the show as astronaut John Glenn. His popularity grew in two film appearances opposite his wife, Amy Madigan: Places in the Heart and Alamo Bay. If The Abyss made Harris a movie star, it was his appearences in Paris Trout, Glengarry Glen Ross, and Jacknife that reminded critics and fans what an accomplished actor he is. He played Patsy Cline's lout of a husband in Sweet Dreams, a bulldog government agent in The Firm, a psycho killer in Just Cause and a rock-steady NASA controller in Ron Howard's recent Apollo 13. He stars in the upcoming film Eye for an Eye, with Sally Field, and The Rock, due in theatres in summer '96.
